In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, high schoolers Steven Guo and Rehan Marshall witnessed firsthand the pandemic's harsh toll on those less fortunate. As unemployment skyrocketed, food pantries faced the dual challenge of increased demand and operational risks.

Our Story

Compelled to act, Steven and Rehan set out to make a difference. Their mission was simple yet profound: to combat local food insecurity during these difficult times. After reaching out to a couple friends, they organized their first ever food drive on June 7th of 2020. Although this wasn’t overwhelmingly successful, it marked the humble beginning of TeensForFoodBanks.

TeensForFoodBanks has since grown exponentially, bringing hundreds of students together towards this collective goal. Though Steven and Rehan have both graduated from High School and pursued their careers, they have entrusted TeensForFoodBanks to a new generation of exceptional student leaders, ensuring that their legacy of community service lives on.
